South Farm Holiday Lodges

Wagtail Lodge and Curlew Lodge are situated in the grounds of the owners’ equestrian smallholding, in attractive farmland close to Salisbury Plain, and just a few miles from the market town of Devizes and the well-known heritage sites of Lacock, Stonehenge, and Avebury.

The lodges are well-equipped, and perfect for a family holiday, as there are plenty of attractions for all ages, from the safari park at Longleat and Bowood Adventure Park for youngsters, to sophisticated shops and restaurants in Bath and Salisbury. As their names suggest, the fields surrounding the lodges attract a variety of birds throughout the year, and the peaceful location is perfect for walkers and nature lovers. Make friends with Wally the family donkey, admire the prize-winning show ponies grazing quietly, or take the unique opportunity of spotting deer at close quarters from the footpaths nearby.

No family holiday in the countryside is complete without the family dog to share the long walks! Well behaved dogs are welcome. The gardens of both lodges are fully enclosed, and access to South Farm is protected by electric security gates. See the Helpful Information page for details.
